This award, first presented in 1996, has been given to the directors who simply do the best job running their study clubs. There are a number of factors taken into consideration before the Seattle Study Club staff makes their choices:
1. From the level of organization and preparedness that I observe when the Seattle Study Club visits each club in its first year of operation for our orientation lecture and treatment planning workshop;
2. From feedback in communicating with study club coordinators as to how committed the director is in aiding the coordinator in having to make implementation of the program the best that it can be;
3. From communications with the director — learning how dedicated they are to innovation and creativity in providing highly relevant programming.
